Use Authorization Manager to submit clinical documentation
December 22, 2022

This article is for oral surgeons caring for our medical members

To ensure that we can quickly and accurately review documentation that supports your requests for oral surgery authorizations, we encourage providers to use our Authorization Manager rather than sending images via fax. Faxed images are often not of diagnostic value and may delay our review of your request. Authorization Manager allows you to attach photos, cephalometric radiographs, panoramic radiographs, letters of medical necessity, and faxed medical notes in all file types except for .exe files for authorization requests.

You can also use Authorization Manager to check whether a referral is in place. To learn more about using Authorization Manager, we’ve created a quick tip to explain what documentation is required and several very brief videos that explain how to use the tool.

Please note that you cannot use ConnectCenter to submit requests for prior authorization.
