Your action may be required: Important email security tips
August 31, 2026

This article is for all registered Provider Central users caring for our members

We use LuxSci, a secure email platform, to ensure that our communications adhere strictly to HIPAA compliance standards. Registered Provider Central users regularly receive email messages from us. If you receive an email with a link to access your secure message (instead of receiving our message via email directly), it’s because our security systems indicate that your email domain does not meet the necessary encryption requirements.

  • To ensure you have not missed any critical updates, please log in to Provider Central and navigate to the News section. We recommend paying special attention to items marked with a red exclamation point, which identify News Alerts (contractual notices).
  • To receive future communications directly and bypass the secure portal, please ask your IT or technical support team to review and upgrade your email domain's security settings. Refer to this guide. Specifically, ask them to verify and configure your:
    • Mail Exchange (MX) records
    • Transport Layer Security (TLS) protocols
  • For users experiencing delays receiving our one-time verification emails when logging into Provider Central, please ask your IT administrator to add our IP address to your Mimecast Permitted Senders policy. Refer to this guide.

Alternatively, you may also update your Provider Central account with a different email address that is already HIPAA-compliant. To do this, please log in, click on My Profile in the top right-hand corner of the homepage, select Edit, and update your email address.

We apologize for any inconvenience this additional security measure may cause, and we thank you for your partnership in keeping our communications secure.
