This article is for managers of intake, utilization review, and case management at acute care hospitals caring for premature and medically complex infants

As a reminder, starting September 1, 2023, ProgenyHealth will manage the process for NICU level of care authorizations using InterQual criteria on our behalf. As a reminder, starting September 1, 2023, ProgenyHealth will manage the process for NICU level of care authorizations using InterQual criteria on our behalf for infants born on and after September 1, 2023. To help you prepare for this transition, ProgenyHealth will offer provider education sessions on

August 1 from 11 am – 12 pm

August 3 from 11 am – 12 pm

August 8, from 11 am – 12 pm.

At these sessions, you’ll learn:

  • How to submit level of care authorizations, concurrent reviews, and transfers between facilities
  • What documentation is required
  • How to request reconsideration for denied level of care requests
  • How ProgenyHealth’s case management process works
