About Find a Doctor & Estimate Costs
Find a Doctor & Estimate Costs combines provider search functionality with provider quality data and cost estimation, so our members will know what to expect before they get care. Members can:
- see hospital quality information
- compare up to five health care providers at a time
- read and write reviews on physicians and other professional providers
PPO and HMO members can search for over 1,600 of the most common behavioral health, diagnostic, inpatient, outpatient, and office visit medical services. We provide them with:
- average total allowed amounts by treatment (the amount we’ll pay a provider for a covered service).
- a link to review their benefits (allowing them to estimate out-of-pocket costs).
Find a Doctor & Estimate Costs includes patient reviews of participating physicians and professional ancillary providers. To write a review, the member must:
- log in to our MyBlue website
- accept a Terms and Conditions agreement, and
- attest that they have received services from the provider.
Members can read reviews without logging in.
