Our partnership with Cricket Health is ending

Our partnership with Cricket Health, an independent company that provides kidney support services, is ending on June 2, 2023.

In 2022, we selected a small portion of our commercial members with stage 3b chronic kidney disease or higher to participate in this program. We’ve already outreached to these impacted members to let them know that they will no longer have access to Cricket Health services as part of their health plan benefits.

If any of your patients have questions about this news or would like support managing their everyday health needs, we’ve directed them to contact Team Blue at 1-800-392-0098, option 1. Team Blue consists of care managers who are specially trained clinicians, including chronic kidney disease experts, registered nurses, mental health specialists, and registered dieticians. Our care managers can help your patient:

  • Coordinate care for services they need, find a specialist, and arrange a second opinion.
  • Answer questions about their hospital discharge plan, medication, or health plan.
  • Learn about resources that may be available in their community.

Team Blue is available to your patient at no additional cost as part of their health plan benefits. Participation is optional and they can opt out at any time by notifying their care manager or by calling Member Service at the number on their Blue Cross ID card.
