The federal COVID-19 public health emergency will end on May 11, 2023. Here’s what you need to know about our coverage and policies.
Over-the-counter test kits
Starting May 11, we will no longer cover over-the-counter COVID-19 test kits. During the public health emergency, we temporarily covered the cost of up to eight over-the-counter COVID-19 test kits per member, per month for our Commercial members, while the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services covered the same for our Medicare members*.
With the end of the public health emergency, we are returning to our previous policy for over-the-counter purchases.
