Our Medicare Advantage members have a new benefit as of January 1, 2025 that helps them save money on generic prescription drug costs so they can adhere to your treatment plan. Medication adherence helps close gaps in Star measures.
You can help members take advantage of savings on their tier 1 or tier 2 (generic) medications by:
- Writing prescriptions for a 100-day supply of generic medications with three refills.
- Sending prescriptions to an in-network pharmacy or the CVS Caremark Mail Service Pharmacy.
If you are a practice leader, please consider creating alerts in your electronic medical record system to encourage 100-day prescriptions.
