On July 26, 2024, Steward Health Care announced that they plan to close two hospitals in Massachusetts by August 31: Carney Hospital and Nashoba Valley Medical Center. Although these hospitals are closing, the health care providers affiliated with them will remain in our network as they work to relocate to another in-network practice.
To support our members affected by these closures, we are proactively calling them and mailing letters to them with a list of alternative hospitals and urgent care centers nearby. We’ve also developed a dedicated Steward Health Care page on our member website, MyBlue.
