Take the CMS Fraud, Waste and Abuse training by December 31, 2019
December 2, 2019

This article is for all dental providers and their office staff

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) requires all Medicare-participating dental providers and staff to complete Fraud, Waste, and Abuse training each year.  If you haven’t already, be sure to complete this year’s training by December 31, 2019.

Access the training and attestation link online

HealthCare Administrative Solutions (HCAS) and its member health plans make the training available on the HCAS website. To easily access the training and attest to its completion:

  1. Go to hcasma.org/MedicalTraining.aspx and click the Step 1 button to view the CMS training.
  2. After you complete the training, go to the same web page and click
Step 2 ATTESTATION to attest that you have completed the training.
  3. Once you’ve attested, you’ll see the following message: Your information has been recorded. Thank you.
Print this confirmation message and retain it for your records.

If your practice has several people who need to take the training, you can download and submit the Fraud, Waste, and Abuse Training Group Attestation form and Excel file available on the HCAS website.
