Effective Monday, May 3, 2021, you may use Authorization Manager to submit authorization requests for medications that you buy and bill us for, and that are administered in the office using the member’s medical benefits.
Entering an authorization request for medications works the same way as it does for medical requests, however, make sure you select the correct values for the following fields:
|Field name||Use this value|
|Place of service||11-Office or 22-On Campus-Outpatient Hospital|
|CPT/HCPCS#||Appropriate “J” code to designate the medication you’re requesting|
To use Authorization Manager, you must be a registered Provider Central user. Learn how to register for Provider Central or add users to your existing Provider Central account.
