Value-based Benefit Design

Some of our members have value-based benefits providing them with coverage to help manage care for these conditions more affordably:

  • Asthma
  • Coronary artery disease (CAD) or risk of cardiovascular disease (taking high blood pressure medications in combination with high cholesterol medications)
  • Diabetes
  • Depression (associated with any of the above conditions)

With value-based benefits, smokers also get access to medications (when prescribed) at no cost, in addition to the smoking cessation programs that are available at no cost to all members
