Dental Blue: How it works
Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts has a long history of providing dental coverage. In fact, we have been meeting the dental care needs of our members for more than 50 years.
Networks
- Dental Blue Indemnity Network is our broad access network which offers access to over 9,900 in-network dental locations in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island. In addition to our local network, Dental Blue also offers access to a national network of over 220,000 dental locations across the country.
- Dental Blue PPO®provides access to in-network dental care through more than 40% of dentists in Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
Both of these networks are supported by our nationwide network
All Dental Blue® members have access to one of the largest national dental networks, with participating providers from approximately 40 Blues Plans including Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts. This network doubles the number of participating providers of our current network with over 122,000 unique providers nationally and 300,000 access points.
